Today we are going to take a tour of our forest school! I have taken some photos of the different animal homes I have found in the meadow and we are going to think about what animals may live in those homes and what the homes look like. I will explain in the beginning of the video how to lay out your activity, which can be written on a piece of paper at home or in your home learning book if you still have it (make sure you leave some lines between each animal home, so you have enough space to write the information next to it). If you can think of any other animals that may live in each home then please do add them in but I will give you some examples on each slide. Any questions please do let us know! I hope you enjoy taking a tour of the forest school! :)
In today's guided reading lesson I have prepared a text all about British Science Week. British Science Week is currently happening at the moment but we will be taking part in it at school next week. This will give you an opportunity to find out a little more about the week itself. Comprehension questions are attached. Ideally, it's preferable that children read the text themselves for word reading practice with support from an adult if needed, but if parents are busy or children wish, they can listen to me read the text and then complete the questions after listening and following the words on screen. As usual, work can be uploaded to Class Dojo for teachers to mark and comment. Thank you.
