Today we are going to begin to work on telling the time using an analogue clock. We will be continuing this lesson next week too.
Telling the time and writing the time. You can other print out the activity sheet or write your answers directly into your book for the first page. For the second page you could read the time allowed to your child and they can make it on their clock.
Alternative challenge - I have also set a time challenge on Purple Mash if that is easier for some of you to complete or as an extension.
For the end of the lesson I have set a little game on Purplemash for you all called "What time is it, Mr Wolf". Or you could play the game I will link below (just keep clicking until the clock shows an o'clock time)
Today we are going to think about speech bubbles and when they are used in books and magazines.
Blue, Green & Red Pencil Group: Write a speech bubble for each owl baby. You can look back at the video to help you remember what each owl says!
Yellow & Orange Pencil Group: Write a speech bubble for Bill.
Have fun and have a great weekend!
Today in phonics we are practicing our tricky and high frequency word reading.
This term we are following the BBC radio music programme. You will need to follow the link below which will take you to the correct part of the BBC website. We will be following our work about Anansi the spider we looked at last week. Please work your way down the page, completing the following activities:
- Listen to part 2 of the story about Anansi (midway down the page)- can you then answer the given questions?
- Learn verse 1 and the chorus of the song with Andy and Rebecca (top of the page)
EXT - you can have a try at the pulse and rhythm challenge or listen to Symphony 5 by Beethoven
Today we are going to finish the pattern sheet that we have made all week, so you will need some colours to complete this challenge. We will then practise writing the remaining numbers to 20.
