Today we are beginning this week's unit of Guided Reading on three different Roald Dahl texts. Today is the BFG so we will be reading an extract from this brilliant story.
(Parents: It is the part of the story when the BFG takes Sophie from her dormitory, I hope it's not too scary but I'm just giving a small warning if you want to have a read of it first. I don't want anyone being too scared and then not going to sleep later! I do remind the children that it's just a story somewhere in the video!)
More Oliver and the Seawigs today. We are now on Chapter 4. Like Friday, you can read the story yourself if you want to or read a couple of page. I have attached pictures of Chapter 4 if you want to do this. If not, you can listen to me read to you and then have a go at answering the questions. Today they have an 'Explain', 'Predict' and 'Summarise' focus.
