We are beginning a new term this week. This would have been a term where under normal circumstances, the children's end of key stage assessments would be complete and we would be beginning to practice for our school production. We are sad that this won't be able to take place but we have decided to set a new exciting topic instead that we didn't originally plan for, to inspire children's learning over the course of the next few weeks.
We really enjoyed seeing all of the children's learning on our geography-based topic 'The Rainforest' in Term 5 and we can't wait to see what the children discover on the new history-based topic of CASTLES! This will be an opportunity for children to learn all about different types of castles, who lived in castles and everyday medieval life. A topic sheet with learning ideas for the term will be added and this will go alongside all the other units of Reading, Writing and Maths work we usually set on a weekly basis until the end of term.
If you are a key worker and your child is attending school, teachers will be teaching and helping the children to complete tasks from their weekly home learning pack each day along with tasks that support children's well-being.
As always, if you have any questions, please ask away.
I hope the children are enjoying their half-term week.
