Today we are looking at the headline of a newspaper report and writing our own. We start by looking at some of the features included and how the headline can tell us information about the report. Then, we will be writing our own, trying to include alliteration if possible. The children will need a piece of paper/home learning book and a pencil - thank you!:)

Today we are looking at what conjunctions are and how to use them to join two sentences together. These are often used in newspaper reports too. We will go through some examples and then you will be able to write your own conjunctions into 3 sentences. You will need a piece of paper/home learning book and a pencil. Thank you! :)

I have given you a few ideas of how to write them down and practice them, you can choose whichever method suits you. Today we are looking at the past tense as a feature of a newspaper report. I will go through lots of different examples of changing sentences from the present to the past tense before the children then need to sort out some verbs into past and present (they do not have to do them all).
