We are starting a new unit on branching databases today by focusing on asking effective 'yes or no' questions. We start off by going through some key vocabulary and ideas we will come across in this unit and explain what branching databases are using an example to help us. Afterwards, we will then see how we can ask effective 'yes or no' questions before you do your activity of writing down some examples of 'yes or no' questions you could ask for 2 different sets of objects. You can also do the optional, but highly encouraged, extension at the end which is finding a partner and playing the 'yes or no' question game yourself. One partner thinks of an object (from the pictures or one of your choice) and the other has to ask yes or no questions to find out what it is.
