Today we are going to start off with our tricky word trucks! Say the words along with me at home. Today's activity is very similar to yesterdays - I want you to write 2 x sentences using one of the words from the word bank at the bottom of the screen, these are different spelling words from the ones we used yesterday. As an extra challenge, can you try and include an exclamation mark? The activity can be written straight onto a piece of paper. If you have any spare time please do log in to spelling shed :)
30.03.21 - Phonics
Today we are going to continue looking at common exception words. We are going to start the lesson with some flashcard speed trial sounds and tricky word trucks. The main activity for today is to write 2 x sentences including at least one of the key words in each. The key words are on the board and there are some example sentences on the board too. Can you try and write a question using a question mark at the end as one of your sentences? If you have some time please do log into spelling shed and have a go at the 'Term 4, Week 6' words :)
29.03.21 - Phonics
Today we begin our session with some tricky word trucks! Say the words along with me at home. This week our spelling words are all different common exception words, which means they do not necessarily follow regular phonics patterns we know! I will introduce the new words for the week before you begin the main activity. The activity today is to draw 10 small easter eggs and write each of our spelling words in them, you can decorate them however you like, make them nice and bright if you have colouring pens/pencils!
