Well done Year 1 for the amazing work that you sent yesterday and completed on Purple Mash.
Todays lessons include - Literacy: writing a list, Maths: looking for 3D shapes, Art: adding colour to your sketch and Phonics: recapping trigraphs more.
Remember you can choose which order you would like to complete the tasks in. Make sure you complete the right task for your pencil group and don't forget to share your work with us.
Today we will be recapping 3D shapes. Please watch the video below and then complete the 3D shape challenges.
Find some objects around your home that are 3D shapes. Can you sort them into piles of cubes, spheres and cylinders?
Have a go at this game!
Today we are going to be colouring in our picture from yesterday, using whatever materials you have at home. We had planned to use the painting skills we have practised this term in this part of our picture, but we completely understand that not everyone has access to paint. You can use crayons, pencils, pens or anything else you have at home to colour in your picture. The children will need to focus on using the correct colours and changing the shade if possible. The link to the video I mentioned (for painting) is below:
We are still thinking about Zog and what he got up to at Dragon school. If you would like to read or listen to the book again the link is below. Watch today's video which focuses on writing a list of things the dragons could learn whilst at school and then find the right challenge for your pencil group. Remember that we will all be completing the challenges at some point this week.
We are continuing our recapping of the trigraphs /air/ /ear/ /igh/ /ure/. You will need your purple home learning book or some paper to write on during the video.
Your first challenge was to write the words / captions and sentence in the video.
Challenge 2 - you can either practise reading the little comic stories by downloading them from below or you can search for them on the free Phonics Play Comic website: www.phonicsplaycomics.co.uk
Use your souond talk to help decode any tricky words and enjoy the adventures of Obb and Bob, plus some new friends.
