The lesson begins with a starter activity following on from yesterday's work on demarcating sentences. Worksheet is attached below.

Today's lesson looked at finding related facts. We started by doing our number formation work and our flashback 4 questions. You can pause the video at different points to work on this.
Then we looked at finding related facts. Watch the modelling and then have a go at answering some questions if that's possible. Perhaps adults could draw some tens frames in the way I demonstrated on the board and your child can write down the addition and subtraction number sentences underneath.
Today we looked at making a prediction. You can pause the video at different moments or watch it through from start to finish. there is a starter activity to watch and then the main learning objective follows. You will need just a pen/pencil and paper to complete this task today.
Maths 4/11/20 (Mr Walsh's Maths Set)
The lesson today was focused on subtracting crossing ten (e.g 16-9=) using a partitioning method and our knowledge of the number bonds to 10.
It starts off with some number formation work. You can use plain paper at home just be careful to make sure you get your numbers the correct way around!
Then the warm up activity is the flashback 4. You can pause the video and answer the questions on plain paper for this part.
Finally we move on to the main learning objective. Follow the video through and have a go at some of the questions that I've attached. You can pause the video at different points to allow you to have a go at the questions as you go through the video.
This is our Literacy 'Hook' Lesson. For our hook lessons we introduce the story we will be basing our work around and then do a fun activity to get children engaged into the topic.
Watch the video and pause it if you want to take time to think of any answers for yourself. If not you can just watch the lesson from start to finish without pausing.
For today, we studied the first part of the story 'Journey' by Aaron Becker and then made a piece of artwork using craft materials and colouring pens to show what we think would be behind the red door in the story.
To complete this task you just need a blank piece of paper and some colouring pens. Alternatively, you could draw your picture on a tablet possibly too.
You can take a photo of your work and upload to class dojo when you have finished.
