We hope that you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break and are pleased to be welcoming the children back to school for Term 5 of Year 3! The children are now over half way through the year and it will not be long before they are starting to think about moving into Year 4!
As you may know already our topic for Terms 5 is ‘Lights, Camera Action!’ This is an exciting topic, where the children will learn all about the history of films and even have a chance to produce some of their very own!
As the children are now moving into Year 3 we would like to actively encourage children to not bring in toys or additional games (including trading cards). These often get lost or cause arguments which can waste learning time – there are plenty of activities for children to do during lunch or break times.
Year 3 PE days are on Mondays and now Thursdays from Term 5, children are expected to bring their PE Kit (House PE shirt, shorts and trainers or plimsolls) into school on those days and should also bring a tracksuit for colder conditions.
In Year 3, children no longer receive free fruit. However should the children wish to bring a piece of fruit in for break time then they are welcome to. Alternatively fruit can be purchased from the hall at break time for 30p.
