Nursery Hours/ Sessions

Nursery Hours/Sessions

Our nursery offers places based on the 15 or 30 Government funded hours for children who are 3 or 4 years old. These funded hours can start the term after your child's 3rd birthday (based on the old school terms):

  • If your child is 3 between 1st January - 31st March, they would start in April after the Easter holidays.

  • If your child is 3 between 1st April - 31st August, they would start in September after the summer holidays.

  • If your child is 3 between 1st September - 31st December, they would start in January after the Christmas holidays

Please Note: At the moment, should you not qualify for the 30 hour funding, we are also able to offer sessions in addition to the 15 hour funding should parents/carers wish to pay for these. Please contact the Nursery via the school for further information.

Available sessions for 15 hour funding:

2 and a half days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning)
2 and a half days (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon)

    Sessions for 30 hour funding:
5 full days (Monday - Friday)

Please note: We may be able to be flexible on these sessions.  If you would like to contact us for further information, please email us at littlehedgehogs@hampton.kent.sch.uk, or phone us via the school office on 01227 372 159.

We have spaces for children whose families are eligible for 30 funded hours of childcare.

You will be eligible for the 30-hour funded childcare offer if:

You earn more than the equivalent of 16 hours at the national living wage or minimum wage per week: for example, £120 per week if you are 25 or older.

There is no requirement to work a certain amount of hours per week- it is all about how much you earn. This means if you only work 10 hours per week but earn £12 per hour, you will meet the minimum earning threshold. Apprentices are also eligible as long as they earn the equivalent to 16 hours at the apprentice minimum wage.

AND

You earn less than £100,000 per year.

If you are eligible for 30 hours, you will need to complete this section of the admissions form prior to us offering you a space. You may choose to split the 30 hours between different settings and will need to inform us if these are your intentions.

More information can be obtained from the following website - www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare.
