Useful Information
Times
The School day is 8.40am (gate will open at 8.30am) until 3.10pm. Please ensure children are in school on time so they do not miss any of their learning time.
PE
Our PE day is Tuesday morning. Children come to school every Tuesday wearing their PE kit to school: black shorts, tracksuit bottoms or leggings, their house coloured t-shirt, school jumper, cardigan or hoodie and trainers.
Spare Clothes
Each child has their own coat peg. We ask for a little bag with some spare underwear, socks, trousers and a t-shirt to stay at school on this peg. Sometimes we do get a bit wet when we are exploring!
Water Bottles:
Each child will be provided with a water bottle by our PTA that they need to bring to school each day. All children will have free access to their water bottle during the day and will be able to refill when needed. They will also need to bring a drink as part of their packed lunch. School dinners will get a choice of water or milk with their meal.
Toys
We advise children to leave their toys at home when coming into school unless they have been asked to bring something in as part of a topic day or topic activity.
Snack
Every child in Foundation Stage is entitled to a piece of fruit each day provided by the school.
Outdoor Play
The children spend a lot of time learning outside all year round. Our PTA have provided each child with a school sunhat which will stay on their peg. We ask that children dress for the weather, ensuring they are warm in the Winter and protected in the Summer. We can keep a named bottle of sun cream in school during the hotter months but do ask that you cream your children before they come to school in the morning.
Jewellery
Children should not wear any jewellery to school. If a child has their ears pierced they must wear studs only.
Book Bag
All children are provided with a book bag by our PTA. This will be given to your child on a home visit. Ensure your child brings their book bag to school everyday with their reading books and reading record inside. We will ensure important letters are put into the book bag to ensure you are kept up to date with school dates, events and key information.
